The Crisis
When Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica, it devastated communities across along the western areas of the island — destroying homes, businesses, clinics, and roads. Rural healthcare systems, previously stretched thin, are now non existent. Many
clinics have severely been damaged or left without power, clean water, or medical supplies.
Our Immediate Response
Breaking Healthcare Barriers (BHB) is partnering with the Jamaica's Ministry of Health and Wellness as well as the American Friends of Jamaica to deliver urgent medical relief where it’s needed most.​
